What is CASA?

A CASA is a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer who is the voice for an abused and neglected child. They have been screened, trained, and appointed by a judge. CASA volunteers partner with social workers to provide judges with timely, objective, and detailed information to ensure the child’s immediate safety and well-being and determine his or her forever home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives during a troubled time.
